A.When you arrive, you will be given a small packet with all of the recipes which will be taught during class. The recipes will be yours to keep! Feel free to bring a pen to take notes, as you will surely learn helpful tips and skills from our talented chefs.
All of our classes feature REAL FOOD and in most cases you can expect to do an ample amount of tasting, so bring your appetite for fun and food.
We do recommend that you wear long pants if possible, Awesome Custom aprons with Let’s Cook Logo are available for purchase or bring your own if you don’t want your clothes to get stained and for your safety comfortable, closed toe, rubber soled shoes are a must.
A.The majority of our classes will be approximately 3 hours in length. Workshops may be a bit shorter or longer depending on the outline of the class.
Classes will either be hands-on or demonstrational, and will be noted as such on our class calendar.
Some of our classes may include a wine or beer sampling from a featured local winery or brewery. The cost of tastings are included in the price of the class unless otherwise noted.
We ask that you plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start time of your class in order to check in and enjoy some pre-class refreshments! We will starting on time and always try to finish on time.
A.We are operating a 100% reservation based business, because of this we have to adhere to a very specific cancellation policy.
Please make note of the policy below:
Cancellations with at least 3 days (72 hours) notice prior to the reserved class, will be issued full credit towards a future class only.
Within 72 hours prior to the class you are registered for we cannot issue refunds or credits under any circumstances as we have very limited space available and require advanced reservations for all classes.
As an option- you can always send someone in your place if you can’t make it, simply let us know and we will make a name adjustment to your reservation.
We reserve the right to cancel any class, at any time, for any reason. We make every effort to give as much advanced notice as possible in the rare event we have to cancel a class. Your payment will be refunded in full or you may request credit or transfer of payment to another class.
A.If you’d like to be placed on the waiting list for a full class, please call (831) 419-2747 and we will place you on the list. If space becomes available we will notify waiting list names in the order they were placed on the list.
A.Many of our popular classes will be offered again. Check our schedule or put yourself on our mailing list and we will send you monthly updates from our web site.
A.Yes. Gift certificate can be a great gift for anyone. Gift certificates are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
Gift certificates that have been donated for non-profit organizations are redeemable class tuition.
A. Our students have a variety of skill levels. From beginners to culinary school graduates.
A. We accept up to 25-35 students in a demonstration only class. Our hands on classes vary in size from as large as 20 to a more intimate class size of 6. Our average class size is 15.
A. We are fine with our students(21 and older) bringing wine or beer to class for their own personal consumption. We want to to feel at home while you are attending a class. We are not licensed to sell or distribute alcohol and we uphold ABC regulations. We cannot have any intoxicated students so please be mindful of your consumption. Thank you.

A. We will be having classes for all ages. With that in mind we ask that you check with us when bringing a child younger than 8 to class and we will let you know if the class will be suitable.

The undersigned participant (“Participant”) has voluntarily requested to use the cooking facility (the “Facility”) of Let’s Cook Santa Cruz (the “Cooking School”) and to participate in activities or programs sponsored by the Cooking School (the “Activities”). In consideration for the Cooking School agreeing to allow the Participant to use the Facility and to participate in the Activities, the Participant agrees to this Release of Liability (the “Release”).
The Participant acknowledges that using the Facility and participating in the Activities may involve certain risks, including but not limited to the risk of personal injury or property damage. The Participant agrees to assume any and all risks involved in using the Facility or participating in the Activities. The Participant releases and discharges the Cooking School and its owner, agents, representatives, partners, as well as all other persons who own, lease, operate or manage the Facility (collectively, the “Released Parties,”) from and against any and all damages, actions, claims and liabilities, whether known or unknown, anticipated or not anticipated, relating to or arising from the use of the Facility or participation in the Activities. The Participant further agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any loss, damage, liability and expense relating to or arising out of the use of the Facility or participation in the Activities.
If the Participant is a minor, the undersigned represents that he/she is the parent or legal guardian of the Participant, and hereby consents to the Participant using the Facility and participating in the Activities. The undersigned agrees, personally and on behalf of the Participant, to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Release. The undersigned further agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any loss, damage, liability and expense relating to or arising out of the use of the Facility or participation in the Activities.
